What is Calisthenics?

Calisthenics is a form of physical exercise using one’s own bodyweight as main source of resistance. It requires minimal equipment and aims at improving strength, power, endurance, flexibility, balance and coordination.

The terms “bodyweight training” and “street workout” are very closely related.

Long-term progress with a structure of cycles

A one-year training is divided into 8 blocks of 6 weeks each.

Each block focuses on a specific set of exercises, skills and drills. Each exercise offers progressions that fit any level from couch potato to advanced athlete.

This structure of cycles allows the student to see improvements from week to week, while getting challenged and having fun with a variety of exercises over the course of one year.

Over the years, the student will go up the progression ladder and do more and more difficult exercises, or explore a specific branch of calisthenics more in-depth. Fitness is a life-long journey and each person is encouraged to find their own path!
